First National Bank in Pratt is pleased to announce the promotion of Diana Barnard as loan administration officer and Kristen Young as executive administrative officer.
Barnard will be responsible for administering the loan support functions and other staff of the bank involved in preparing loan documents for home loans, personal loans and business and ag lending. She will oversee the processing of all loan activity including escrows and other loan data input and processing functions and will work closely with the bank lending staff to ensure customers are served efficiently while ensuring that the customer's and bank's interests are both protected.
"Because of Diana's dedication and knowledge, we are pleased to recognize her with this promotion and to have her elected as an officer of First National Bank in Pratt," First National Bank President Jack Galle said.
Barnard is a graduate of Protection High School, Barton County Community College and Fort Hays State University. She also has 23 years of experience in banking and has spent the last three years with First National Bank as a loan assistant.
"I am very pleased to accept this promotion. I appreciate the recognition of my abilities and am excited to take on my new responsibilities," Barnard said of her promotion.
Barnard and her husband, Brian, have four sons, Corey, Austin, Derek and Brett. They have been active in Pratt High School activities and have been members of the Pratt community for the past 17 years.
Young's responsibilities include providing a variety of administrative and secretarial support for the CEO and bank management, prepare letters and reports, balance accounts, process accounts payable and coordinate a variety of events throughout the year.

Young is a graduate of Cunningham High School and Kansas State University where she received a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. She previously worked as office manager for her father Dave Houtwed's business, Precision Ag Solutions in Pratt, and as Realtor in Manhattan, before joining the First National Bank team in April.
"I am honored to have received the promotion and feel very fortunate to have the role I do at the bank. I am surrounded by wonderful people here and in our community and look forward to what my future here holds. I believe I will be a strong asset to the bank and sincerely appreciate the acknowledgement of an officer role," Young said.
A Cunningham native, she resides there with her husband, Todd and her daughter, Andi. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding her horse and being outdoors.
