Scott J. Gonzales, 36, of Pratt, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt.
He was born Feb. 22, 1977, in Lakin, to Joe and Tina Lopez Gonzales.
Mr. Gonzales lived most of his life in Garden City, moving to Pratt in June 2011. He worked as an oil rig operator for American Well Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
On July 13, 2013, he married Eve Nowak in Zenda. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Klasee Gonzales and Kaylee Gonzales, both of the home; two sons, Kadin Gonzales of the home, and Gabriel Gonzales of Garden City; two other daughters; his parents, Joe and Tina Gonzales of Garden City; a sister, Stephanie Gonzales of Garden City; his grandparents, Ralph and Nettie Lopez of Deerfield, and Mary Gonzales of Kansas City, Kan.; and his father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Pam Nowak of Zenda.
A vigil service and rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Condolences may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at CenterPoint Christ Church, 602 S. Hamilton, Pratt.
