An adult male was fatality injured in hit and run accident, police looking for maroon car possibly an Oldsmobile.
Wichita resident, Christopher Scott Burton, 39, was fatally injured in a hit and run accident 3/4 mile west of Stafford on U.S. Hwy 50 at approximately 5:50 p.m., Tuesday.
Burton worked for a towing company and was securing a disabled tour bus that broke down earlier in the day. An unknown westbound vehicle struck Burton, who was standing at the rear of the trailer.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports do not give any description of the vehicle that hit Burton, listing it as unknown, but officers were interested in a westbound maroon colored passenger car, possibly an Oldsmobile, that was seen on the shoulder a short distance west of the accident location.
Burton was taken to Minnis Chapel in Stafford.
