  • Former Pratt High Greenback harrier Kaylah Romine is headed for Nationals in Ft. Dodge IA this week as a member of the Hutchinson Community College distance squad. In high school, Romine was individual regional champion her senior year, a state medalist, and part of the PHS team that placed 4th in state in 2011. As a freshman, Romine has been Hutch Juco’s leading woman runner all season, and has posted the 2nd fastest time in Lady Dragon history. No one familiar with Romine’s high school career would be surprised at the continued success she’s having at the next level. “You could always count on Kaylah to train to the highest level, and she always gave her best in practice and in races,” PHS coach Kathy Hitz recalled. “She has high expectations of her training and her racing and because of that has achieved at a high level, and will continue to do so.”
