  • Other than the 3rd quarter, not much went right for Skyline’s boys against Pretty Prairie Tuesday night at the Thunderdome. The T-Birds dropped a 56-36 decision to the visiting Bulldogs. Dustin Weber posted 4 points in the opening stanza, but Pretty Prairie put up 17 and SHS was immediately in a deep hole. Kasey Gilpin hit a 3 and Brady McComb converted a pair from the charity stripe in Q2. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs were putting up another 17-spot, and took a 34-9 lead into the break. Skyline scored more than half their evening’s points in Q3, putting up 18 to get the game back to respectable at 42-31. Dan Hacker had all 6 of his points in that frame, Gilpin hit another 3, Weber had 5 pts, and Bryce McKennon added 3 in the scoring outburst. Brandon Abbott made a couple of buckets to pace SHS in the 4th quarter, but it wasn’t enough, as the Bulldogs countered with 14 of their own and claimed the 56-36 win. At 1-8, Skyline travels to Fairfield on Friday to take on the Falcons in a HOPL match-up. Skyline 4 5 22 5 36 Pretty 17 17 8 14 56 Gilpin 6, Abbott 5, Dustin Weber 12, McKennon 3, McComb 4, Hacker 6
