  • The Pratt County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance regarding a cattle theft in northwest Pratt County.
Sometime during the night of Feb. 11, 12 head of black and black white face cows were taken from that location. The cattle ranged from 1,300 to 1,500 pounds and they were all bred and could calve any day, said Pratt County Sheriff Vernon Chinn.
The cattle have a "WF" brand on the right hip and an ear tag in the right ear with the initials "DW" on the front of the tag and a phone number on the back, Chinn said.
Anyone with information about this theft should contact the Pratt County Sheriff's Office at 620-672-4133. Tips can also be made to the Kansas Bureau of investigation at 785-296-8200 or visit their website, Chinn said.
