William “Dub” Hampton Campbell, 91, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at South Wind Hospice House, Pratt. He was born July 16, 1922, on the family farm near Jasper, Mo., the son of Phillip E. and Lucy F. (Stricker) Campbell.
Dub was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pratt, served as deacon and participated in many church activities. He retired as a line superintendent after 37 years with Ninnescah Rural Electric Co-operative.
On July 3, 1944 he married Elizabeth ‘Betty’ LeGrand at Girard. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, David (Marcia) Campbell and Steven Campbell, both of Pratt; one daughter, Carol Grandmontagne of Monroe, Wash.; a granddaughter, Liz Campbell; one great-grandson, Devon Stephens; a brother, Rex (Mary) Campbell of Columbus, Mo.; and a sister, Phyllis Cox of Broken Arrow, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene Campbell and Russell Campbell; and a son, Woody Campbell.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt. Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26th, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
