Last semester, Pratt Community College’s vocal department started a community choir that performed at the Christmas concert. After having so much fun with it last semester, they are having a community choir again this semester.

The group will meet every Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. starting on April 7. The group will sing at the finale show on April 27.

“Last semester it was a lot of fun and we had a great response,” said J.J. Rupe, music instructor.

Rupe said he is hoping to build the choir this semester with more basses and tenors but everyone is welcome.

At the concert, Rupe said the group will sing light-hearted, fun music.

The group will meet in room 42 in the Benson Education Center.

In order to sing in the choir, people don’t have to enroll in the class or audition.

If you can’t make it the first Monday, Rupe said, just show-up when possible.
