  • PHS graduate will speak at Scholarship Banquet

  • Patrons and friends of Pratt High School are invited to attend the 40th Annual Scholarship Banquet held at the Municipal Building on Monday, April 28th at 6:30 p.m.
    This banquet has been held every year since 1974 to honor outstanding students at Pratt High, and this year the speaker will be Jessie Garrett, PHS graduate of 2006. Garrett will discuss “Writing Your Own Story.”
    After graduation, Garrett attended the University of Kansas and Purdue University earning, respectively, her Bachelors in 2010 and her Masters in 2012 both in aerospace engineering.
    Upon graduation, Jessie began working at BAE Systems in the company’s Operations Leadership Development Program. In her first role as a product and process engineer Jessie has earned two BAE Impact Awards.
    Living in Fort Wayne, Ind., she involves herself tutoring at a local elementary school and is an active member of a women’s golf league.
    This spring Jessie is returning to school in the University of Chicago’s Weekend MBA Program at the Booth School of Business.
