Cory Blake Chambers, 40, died April 14, 2014, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born Aug. 29, 1973, at Homestead, Fla., to Bryan Blake and Pam (Jones) Chambers. A Great Bend resident since 2008, coming from the Arlington and Hutchinson area, he was a fuel truck driver for S & J Trucking. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 862, both of Great Bend. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, reading, gardening and handyman carpentry work.
On May 3, 2008, he married Jill Bugner at Great Bend. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include: his mother, Pam Christendon, Great Bend; a son, Zachary Blake Chambers, Cunningham; a daughter, Sophia Chambers, of the home; a brother, Derek Christendon, Cunningham; three sisters, Nikki Baker, Pratt, Barbie Everett and Jesse, Isabel, and Kimmie Christendon and Josh Sheets, Great Bend.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Vigil service with Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating. Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend.
