  • It was a busy couple of days early this week for the Pratt High School boys golf team. On Monday, they hosted an Invitational at Park Hills and on Tuesday they played in the CKL meet at Hillsboro.
Tyler Skaggs dominated the meet on Monday, posting a 77 on his home course to win the event by 14 strokes over his closest competitor. “Tyler really struck the ball well Monday,” head coach Steve Landry enthused.
Playing without Spencer Sullivan who had a health issue, the other Greenbacks closed ranks to take 3rd in the home meet with 413 points behind Kingman (386) and Cheney (401).
Hunter Walker continued his late-season surge, carding a 98 to finish as 6th medalist. Only two other Greenbacks were available to play on Monday. Dalton Prosser shot 116 and Dakota Hankins posted 122 to round out the PHS scoring.
Tyler Skaggs again led the Greenbacks Tuesday at CKL in Hillsboro. Winning a 3-way playoff, Skaggs took 5th medalist with a 38-42-80.
Hunter Walker finished 21st with a 44-46-90. Spencer Sullivan was back in action, taking 26th with a 47-46-93. Rounding out the Greenback scoring, Dakota Hankins shot 53-51-104 to finish 42nd. “ Hunter Walker has continued his improvement by posting his lowest score of the year at League,” Coach Landry observed.
