  • Our construction project is moving right along. We are very excited to move into our new space. As of now, the plans are to have the new north addition open this fall. This is where the new private patient rooms are located along with a new dining area, registration, imaging services, respiratory services, pharmacy and gift shop.
Following completion of the new addition (Phase I), we will begin Phase II, which involves major renovation. Once we have moved into the new space, construction crews will begin the task of renovating the vacated areas.
On first floor, the renovation will allow for space for the future home of the chapel, laboratory, and emergency department. On third floor, the new addition includes several new operating rooms, and the renovation will create space for endoscopy and all surgical services.
I applaud our staff. They have done a fantastic job of continuing to care for our patients during the construction process, and I have no doubt they will continue to provide excellent and compassionate care through the renovations too.
One would think our volumes would have decreased during all of the construction, but actually the opposite has happened. We have been very busy and that pace seems to continue month after month.
I credit our outstanding doctors and staff for the amount of time and energy they give to providing care, and
I’m so thankful for the support of the community for choosing PRMC for their medical care.
Our future is bright as we continue to grow. Recently we purchased the Dodge City Women’s Health Clinic in Dodge City. This is a good fit for PRMC as we are focusing on growing our women’s health services. Gynecologic surgeon Luis Espinoza, MD will oversee the clinic and see patients in Dodge City on a monthly basis. Jacque Kemmerer, ARNP will be in the women’s clinic full-time.
My door is always open. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to stop by.
