While most people know that exercise is important, more than half of Kansans do not reach the minimum goal for physical activity on a regular basis. Walk Kansas is a team-based program designed to help you lead a healthier life by being more active, making better nutrition choices and learning positive ways to deal with stress.
The 8-week program begins with a kick-off event at 2 p.m. March 7 at Lemon Park. Get your team together to walk your first mile together around the park. Walk Kansas runs from March 7 through May 1 and the cost is $5 per participant. Shirts are also available for an additional $6.
