Pratt, KS—Walter Thomas Brown, 68, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at his residence in Pratt.  He was born September 2, 1948 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Riley James Brown and Jewell Ann (Hord) Thorn.  On December 15, 1972, he married Anna Marie (Gump) Brown in Pratt, Kansas. She survives.

He was a member of the Sprinkler Fitter Union Local #669 where he worked for 45 years.  In his early years he owned Walt’s Welding.  He was a member of Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #265.  He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, bowling, shooting pool, camping and carpentry.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; two sons, Kynan (Heather) Brown of Medicine Lodge and Kevin Brown of Pratt; five grandchildren, Kayla (Heather Boshart), Thomas (Alexandra Winingham), Makyla, Holly and Avery Brown; sister, Janice Moorehead of Lake Village, Arkansas; aunt, Sue Greer of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and five step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS.  Funeral service will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary with Rick Moore presiding.  Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Coats Cemetery, Coats, KS.
