Mac softball loses twinbill to El Dorado Thursday.

EL DORADO — The McPherson high softball team lost both ends of doubleheader action against El Dorado Thursday. Final scores were 12-2 and 8-2, as the Pups never had a lead in either game.

Sheridan Scott and Bailea Crist each had two hits for Mac in game one. Addie Fitzmorris and Crist both saw action on the hill for the Pups, with Fitzmorris recording 13 first strike pitches and Crist finishing with 11.

Game two was closer, as the Bullpups were within a run at 2-1 after three innings. The Wildcats then scored in each of the next three innings to seal the deal and send the Pups home with the loss.

Scott once again led the way offensively for McPherson with two hits and a RBI, while Elle Schrag threw 27 first strike pitches.

McPherson will get no rest as the Varsity team will be in action this afternoon (Friday) against Augusta, as they make up the postponed game from earlier this week. First pitch of the twinbill is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Grant Sports Complex. There will be no JV games.
