Tornado sirens were sounded in Sawyer as a precaution following the report of a tornado on the ground north of Medicine Lodge.

Tornado sirens were set off in Sawyer Friday afternoon after a tornado warning was issued and a tornado was reported four miles north of Medicine Lodge and traveling northeast. The tornado was expected near Lake Arrowhead at 4:15 a.m. and at Isabel at 4:30 p.m. The tornado was expected to cross the extreme southeast corner of Pratt County. A storm spotter near Sawyer said he had seen debris. Storm spotters continue to monitor the southeast quadrant of the county. Skyline recalled all their school buses that were traveling towards the southeast part of the county, said Pratt County Sheriff Jimmy White.

Mark McManaman, administrator of Emergency said he was seeing several tails hanging down.

Tim Branscom, Pratt County Emergency Manger said the National weather service had reported rotation north of Cairo, east of Isabel and near Isabel.

Tornado sirens will be set off at Preston because of the rotation north of Cairo.
