Pratt County Treasurer Amy Jones has received he Certified Kansas County Finance Executive certification.

Pratt County Treasurer Amy Jones has received her Certified Kansas County Finance Executive certification at a ceremony on June 15. She received a plaque and ruby pin for the certification.

There are four levels of certification and Certified Kansas County Finance Executive is the top and final level of certification.

Level 4 certificates are earned after 102 hours of education from the Kansas County Treasurers Association. The KCTA certificate is administered by the Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Fort Hays State University. The KCTA holds classes for members, treasurers and treasurer office employees to help hem understand the office duties set forth in statute and the best practices to run the office.

Jones has received four KCTA certifications:

• Certified Kansas County Treasurer.

• Certified Kansas County Finance Officer.

• Certified Kansas County Finance Manager.

• Certified Kansas County Finance Executive.

Jones has worked in the treasurer's office for 12 years and has been county treasurer for almost nine years.
