CUNNINGHAM — William W. “Bill Bainum, 92, died Jan. 4, 2018, at Wichita.

He was born Oct. 10, 1925, at Kingman the son of William Vernon and Ollie Foutch Bainum. A lifetime resident of the Cunningham community, he was a farmer, stockman and a former machinist.

Bill was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Harper; Carter-Luce American Legion, Cunningham; the NRA; and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of WWII.

On Aug. 22, 1948, he married Harriett Vogt at Wichita; she died Sept. 29, 2006. On Feb. 23, 2008, he married Mary Lou Mercer; she died Aug. 19, 2015. Survivors include a son Robert and his wife Donna; two daughters Kathy Eitel and husband Vernon, and Linda Wohlford and her husband Jerry; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by son David; brother Leo; and sisters Ruth Hart and Beulah Denninghoff.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday at funeral home with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in the Maud Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with Cunningham Christian Church, the Kingman Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Kingman Senior Citizens Center, all in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
