Dorothy Marie Ladenburger, 84, of Oakley, KS, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Logan County Hospital in Oakley.

She was born January 13, 1933 in Angelus, Kansas, the daughter of Ben and Cathrine (Wessel) Albers.  After graduating from high school in Grinnell, Dorothy met her husband, George Ladenburger, and they were married on October 23, 1950 in Angelus, Kansas.

Over their 67 years of marriage Dorothy was a mother of six children and homemaker.  She spent time making quilts for each of her children and grandchildren.  Cooking and baking were some of her favorite past times. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Daughters of Isabella.

She was preceded  by her parents, Ben and Cathrine Albers;  her 4 sisters, Agnes Harrington, Georginia Davis, Alvina Moos, Pauline Albers; sisters, Martha Cox, Cecilia Esslinger, Eleanor Baalmann; grandchildren, Chad and Scot Ladenburger. 

Survivors are husband, George Ladenburger; and her children, Danny (Susan) Ladenburger, Randall (Tomaye Hipp) Ladenburger, Kenton (Diane) Ladenburger, Kellie (Bob) Day, Brad (Sharon Reyes) Ladenburger and Melissa (Scott) Stephens; 18 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. 

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
