Vickie Miller-Pence passed away May 9th, 2018 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice In-Patient Unit in Wichita, Kansas.

Born on January 1, 1957 she was the daughter of Ronnie and Cathy Miller. Vickie graduated from Pratt High School in 1974. After high school, she attended Pratt Community College and then went on to Colorado Institute of Arts. She was employed by the Sedgwick County Court Trustees Office.

Vickie had many hobbies through the years and took each one very seriously. From ceramics, painting, stained glass work and mosaics, showing quarter horses and taking her step daughter to ride in barrel races, to judging nationally televised boxing and MMA matches. She was an advocate of rescue animals and was even a foster home for a canine rescue group. With her signature sunglasses on, Vickie was always ready for a new adventure, whether she was going on a short road trip to the casino, or driving across the country. Vickie lived a life full of aspirations most only dreamed of.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, and infant sister Tina. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Bell of Wichita, son Stuart Pence of Haysville, stepchildren Geoffrey (and Micah) Bell of Andover, and Kenna Marie Bell of Andover, granddaughter Journee Bell and sister Rhonda Dipman of Pratt.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Vickie’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Vernon Filley Art Museum in Pratt Kansas on June 2, come and go from 1 p.m. — 4 p.m.
