There is an abundance to activities to take in during the next week in Pratt including chances to meet political candidates at two events on Wednesday, July 11.

Pratt Public Library will host an adult painting class at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10. This adults-only class is $5 with a limit of 20 participants. Contact the library to reserve a spot.

Kansas Governor candidate Kris Kobach and Lt. Governor candidate Wink Hartman will be at the Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce Office from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11.

A candidate forum will be held at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at Carpenter Auditorium at Pratt Community College. At 6 p.m. are county commission candidates incumbent David Ward, Bill Hlavachick and Tom Jones. At 7 p.m. are Kansas House candidates incumbent Greg Lewis-R, Brett Fairchild-R, David Curtis-D, David Serraut-D. Lanterman Motors will hold a 45-year anniversary celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 13 at the business at 1105 East First. Refreshments include free hot dogs and hamburgers.

Summerfest 2018 is coming to Pratt on Saturday, July 14 with summer sales around town and entertainment at Merchants Park: 7 p.m. Mark and Nick, 8-10 p.m. Fiddlin’ Around; 10 p.m. laser light show courtesy of Southwest Truck Parts.

The Pratt County Fair rabbit show will be at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at the Pratt County Fairgrounds.
