PRATT — William “Bill” Kent Hager, 65, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home in Pratt. He was born October 24, 1952 in Pratt to Billy Oscar and Wanda (Parker) Hager. 

He graduated from Pratt High School in 1970. He joined the United States Navy right after high school and served from 1970-1978. He worked as a drill stem tester for many years for Western Testing and Trilobite Testing and then as a truck driver for a few years. Most recently he retired from Pratt County Road Department where he drove the road grader for 18 years. He took great pride in every occupation he held but was especially proud of his Naval service.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeanette (Jerry) Adams of Pratt; son, Billy (Rachel) Hager II of Deerfield; mother, Wanda (Earl) Thompson of Medicine Lodge; stepmother, Linda Hager of Wichita; brother, Mike Hager of Rogers, Arkansas; sisters, Brenda (Roy) Briggeman of Emporia and Ashleigh (Mike) Harp of Colwich; grandchildren, Mikayla (Liam) Abbott; Cora and Jacob Hager and Ryan and Sharity Adams; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Billy Hager, Sr. and his beloved dog, Tanner.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt with Pastor Roger Harris presiding. The family has requested casual attire. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Fort Dodge Veterans Cemetery.
