Preston firefighters spray a ditch to put out hot spots from a fire in the ditch on the west side of Cairo Friday afternoon. A RoadSafe crew cutting the asphalt for painting a railroad crossing sign accidentally set the dry grass on fire. The fire burned only grass and a scorched a couple of trees.
