Each year, Pratt Community College raises scholarship dollars through its annual Beaver Backer Bash. This year, the event will be held Friday, March 30 — complete with dinner, entertainment and live and silent auctions.
PCC supporters will fill the Pratt 4-H Center for an upscale tailgate and sports themed evening. The doors will open at 6 p.m.. The dinner menu includes gourmet burgers and chicken sandwiches, baked potato bar and delectable desserts. People are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team gear or colors.
Approximately 100 items will be up for bid in the live and silent auctions. Last year, the event raised more than $36,000, and all proceeds fund student scholarships.
Anyone can attend the Beaver Backer Bash, and tickets will be available soon. Tickets are $20 each, and include dinner and a commemorative glass and unlimited beverages.
Individuals and companies can become event sponsors, and there are six sponsorship levels available, each with benefits that can include reserved tables, tickets, commemorative glasses and special recognition as a PCC supporter.
Seating is limited so purchase your tickets early by contacting Jody Jorns at the Foundation office.
On Saturday, March 31, PCC will host an Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be numerous activities and informational sessions going on campus-wide.
For more information about becoming an event sponsor, to donate items for the auction or to purchase tickets, contact Jody Jorns, executive director of the PCC Foundation at 620-450-2179 or jodyj@prattcc.edu.
