Recently, as I read the newspaper and was going through the delinquent tax notices I was rather shocked to see one of our city commissioners, Willy Peltier and his business Deer Run Properties, LLC, posted repeatedly. Close to $40,000 worth of deliquent taxes?
I thought that properties on the Revitalization program, which I believe six of Commissioner Peltier’s properties are, can not be deliquent or you lose that benefit. What kind of message are we sending to people in Pratt that are working hard and may be struggling with paying their taxes and then a City Commissioner is not paying his?
He works full time as a physician assistant in the Emergency Room at PRMC, owns multiple properties, gets yearly rebate checks for his revitalized properties, but cannot pay his taxes on time?
Shame on you Willy Peltier. I believe that this is not the type of person I want representing me on the city commission.
