A Pratt woman received minor injuries at 8:06 a.m. today in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at First and Ninnescah.
The accident happened when a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Stacie Tharp, was westbound on the inside lane at First and Ninnescah.
Vanessa Taylor, 27, was walking southbound on Ninnescah on the sidewalk on the west side of the street. Taylor told Pratt Police Officer Janna Wood she thought Tharp was going to turn and go south at Ninnescah. It is unknown if Tharp had a turn signal on, Wood said.
Tharp said she was going slow but was heading to Skyline and was not going to turn. Taylor walked off the curb, walked south across First Street in front of Tharp’s car and was hit. Pratt County EMS transported Taylor to Pratt Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Tharp and her passenger Preston Tharp, 17, were not injured in the accident.
