The Pratt Teen Center, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary at 408 S. Main, looks forward to giving youth their “own space” for many years to come. A non-profit organization, it depends on the community for support.

Directors remind that it’s not too late to respond to a letter from Boosters for the 2011 campaign, the center’s main fund-raising effort.

The center primarily serves middle school students after school with recreation, reasonably-priced concessions and homework support if needed.

The Teen Center is also available to rent for birthday and graduation parties, as well as other large gatherings.

“We often hear how people didn’t realize the Teen Center was available to rent and what an awesome facility it is,” commented Director Kim Evert.

The center also has a list of needed supplies:

Basketballs

Ping-pong paddles and balls

Air hockey pucks and paddles

Cleaning supplies and trash bags of various sizes.

Supplies can be dropped off at the center or call Evert at 450-7044 and she will be glad to pick them up.
