Two school concerts on tap this week

HOPL choir
The public is invited to attend a Heart of the Plains League high school mass choir concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 in the Skyline gym.
The 217 high school choir students from all 10 district schools will perform mass choir numbers and each individual choir will perform selections by themselves. Clark Comley of Sterling will direct the mass choir. The event is free to the public.
The HOPL schools are Skyline, Attica, Burrton, Central Christian, Cunningham, Fairfield, Norwich, Pretty Prairie, South Barber and Stafford.

Southwest 5th
The public is invited to attend a celebration of Rock N’ Roll as Southwest fifth grade presents “American Pop Forever — Five Decades of Rock N’ Roll Gold.” This musical tribute will feature great choreography, dance skits and a choral revue with selections from music stars including Elvis, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, The Temptations and The Village People.
The performance is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 in Liberty Middle School auditorium.
