Sparks ignite corn stubble

A Township 12 firefighter sprays water on burning cornstalks at SE 30th Street and SE 150th Avenue Friday afternoon. Sparks from repairs on the irrigation system caught the stalks on fire. Four trucks responded to the scene and quickly had the fire extinguished. The field was all cut.
