Ycilla Fay Wilson, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at her home in Grove. She was born on June 12, 1931, to Will Kit and Mertist Mae Foster Bigham in Lefors, Texas. She married Austin H. “Whip” Wilson on Aug. 18, 1948 in Pampa, Texas.
Ycilla worked as a hospital transcriptionist for Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt for 15 years. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Ycilla was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Herman Lynn Wilson of Columbus, Texas, and Rodney Wilson and his wife Connie of Bartlesville, Okla.; one brother, Burly Bigham of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Peggy Winegeart of Pampa, Texas, and Melba Holland of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 14 at Church of Christ in Grove with Mr. Doug Rainbolt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Mr. Mike Sublett officiating.
