Joe C. Gibson, 83, Salina, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. Joe was born Dec. 15, 1928 in Wellsford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lula Gibson; a sister, Bonnie Rinkel; and a daughter, Nancy Atwill.

Survivors include his wife Betty of 63 years; son, Gregg Gibson of Salina; and daughters, LouAnn Smith of Salina, and Brenda Moomaw of Dighton; grandchildren, Jason Smith of Dodge City; Tera Pflaum, Andrea Keeler and Ashley Moomaw of Hays; Darren Delzeit of Hoisington; Andy, Sarah and Christopher Atwill of Lincoln, Nebraska; 14 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Matt, Kaisha and Aric Edgerle.

Joe was a member of Mason 32nd degree. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, camping, and spending time in his yard.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E Crawford, Salina. Joe will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park.
