Sharon B. Rose, age 64, died Aug. 31, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Manhattan. She was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Pratt to F. Marion and Leora Loretta (Davis) Rose.
Sharon graduated high school at Friends Academy in Haviland. She attended Friends Bible College in Haviland and graduated from Friends University in Wichita with a bachelor’s degree in history. She was a member of the Wellsford Methodist Church. She worked with the American Red Cross for 40 years, traveling around the world as a Red Cross caseworker for services to the armed forces. After retiring, she continued as a Red Cross volunteer in the same area.
Survivors include her mother, Leora Rose of Pratt; two brothers, Gale Rose of Pratt, and Roger and wife Paula and children Ryan, Chelsey and Casey Rose of Cullison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Rose.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 at Larrison Mortuary with the Rev. Bob Fleener presiding. Burial will be at Wellsford Cemetery, Wellsford.
