LARNED - Marion Burl Froetschner, 90, passed away August 2, 2017.
He was born January 1, 1927, at the family farm house, in Pawnee County, the seventh child of twelve, son of Roy William and Mary Ellen (Stauffer) Froetschner. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer, dairyman, Dekalb seed dealer and served on Sanford co-op board. Marion and his brother Roland formed a farming partnership that lasted 32 years until retirement.
He was a member of the Larned United Methodist Church.
He married Helen Marie McCarty, August 15, 1952, in Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Rose Mary (Dick) Shelton, Betty Delaney (Fiance, Brian Haberman), Cheri (Darrin) Reinertsen; sons, Jim (Tammy) Froetschner, Gary (Brenda) Froetschner; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; two brothers, Roland (Janice) Froetschner and Kyrle (Karen) Froetschner; and two sisters, Donna (Norman) Christensen, Garden City, KS and Cordelia (Dick) Overfield, Omaha, NE.
He was preceded in death by: five brothers, Roy Jr., Glenn, Robert, Donald, and Wayne; and two sisters, Marvel Field and Wilma Froetschner.
Cremation has taken place and graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Larned Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Stapleton presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
