Bettye Lou (Longdon) Gutierrez, age 79, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at South Wind Hospice Home in Pratt. She was born March 15, 1930, in Pratt, the daughter of Bruce and Cattabelle Bristow Longdon.
She was a former member of the African Methodist Church in Pratt and retired from the Pratt Hospital in 1953 as a nurse aide.
On Aug. 27, 1951, she married Marion Gutierrez at Lawton, Okla. He survives.
Other survivors include: a sister, Marva Longdon of Pratt; a brother, Wallace Longdon of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son. Gary Bruce Gutierrez.
Funeral service is at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Larrison Mortuary with the Rev. Jim Zimmerman presiding. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt.
