Kelby Cheyenne Cromer, age 18, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, near Cairo, Kansas. She was born Feb. 11, 1991 in Pratt, the daughter of Kerry Cromer and Crystal (Friesen) Wojteczko.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Pratt. Kelby was voted most optimistic student of the year at Derby Alternative School. She was attending Pratt Community College in the pre-nursing program, worked at the Club D’est in Pratt and was involved in her grandmother Anita Friesen’s catering business.  
She is survived by her father, Kerry and wife Kim Cromer of Pratt; her mother, Crystal and husband Jason Wojteczko of Derby; a son, Rhys and his adopted parents Toby and Travis Clayton of Shrevport, La.; two brothers, Kyle Cromer of Pratt and Kolton Cromer of Derby; a sister, Kodie Cromer of Derby; a stepsister, Katie Johanson of Hays; grandparents, John and Patty Cromer of Pratt and Wendell and Anita Friesen of Greensburg; great-grandfather, Henry Z. Friesen of Milford, Neb.;  and several aunts, uncles and cousins.   
Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Pratt with Pastor Billy Simar presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary. Private family burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
