Edna M. Heflin, 88, died Aug. 29, 2010, at Pratt Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Pratt to Bruce E. and Ada M. Woods Patterson.

A lifetime resident of Pratt and Cunningham, she was a homemaker. She attended the United Methodist Church in Cunningham.

She married John L. Heflin July 21, 1942, in Enid, Okla. He died March 30, 2004.

Survivors include: a son, Warren L. Heflin, Wichita; five daughters, Glenda Thornhill, Cunningham, Marjorie Hemphill, Pratt, Shirley Granander, Lafayette, La., Lois Witt, Great Bend, and Connie McGovney, Penalosa; two sisters, Jean Pippin, Cottonwood, Ariz., and Donna Welch, Pratt; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne D.; a daughter, Peggy; five brothers and five sisters.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, with the Rev. Bill Stapleton presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Cunningham E.M.T, United Methodist Church at Cunningham or a charity of the donor’s choice, all in care of the mortuary, 115 E. Fourth, Pratt, KS 67124.
