Voters in the 1st Congressional District of Kansas face one of the most important elections in recent history. For the first time since 1996, Jerry Moran will not be seeking election to this position. There are a number of candidates seeking the Republican nomination for this position, but there is one that really stands out as the best choice to replace Jerry Moran.
That candidate is Tracey Mann. Tracey is a fifth generation Kansan, raised on the family farm in Quinter, Kansas. Tracey is a graduate of Kansas State, where he served as Student Body President. He is a commercial real estate agent in Salina, where he and his wife, Audrey live. Tracey is a Kansan, a businessman, and not a politician.
Tracey will vote against the runaway spending that is under way in Washington. He will vote to make modifications to or repeal the Obama healthcare bill. Agriculture and small businesses are the backbone of the economy in the 1st district. Tracey understands the challenges these businesses face in today’s tough economic environment. He will fight to lower taxes and vote for legislation that will help create jobs. I have personally visited with Tracey, and I know he completely understands what needs to be done to grow the economy in the district. He will also vote to uphold traditional marriage, life, and the second amendment.
I urge all Republicans to vote for Tracey Mann for the First Congressional District on Aug. 3.
