I wanted to take a moment to publicly commend and thank Pratt Family Practice (PFP) for a service they provide the youth of Pratt and their families. Each year, PFP closes their offices for an afternoon and turns their sole attention to the health and safety of Pratt’s youth by offering sport physicals at a reduced rate. In this one afternoon, their staff may see as many as 100-150 student athletes.

While in and of itself this is an amazing feat, in reality this is just the beginning. At the conclusion of this event, many additional hours are spent copying, cataloging, and filing all of these physicals and then their accounting office tabulates the money raised and then gives 100 percent of it back to the schools — Pratt High, Liberty Middle, and Skyline respectively. To date, roughly $20,000 has been given back to the schools through the generosity of these fine medical professionals over the span of 12 years.

While I know they do not do this for the publicity, I felt it was important to see that someone knew what they are doing. The following professionals are involved with this project. If you see them, tell them they are doing a great thing.

Denise Osner, Wendy Stade, Jenny Martinez PA, Erin Sanders, Lana Tiesmeyer, Susan Slief PA, Jordan Martin, Hannah Thimesch, Steve Donnenwerth MD, Kelly Lawton, Deborah Stegman, Wakon Fowler MD, Pam Hostetler, Maxine McMillan, Gene Cannata MD, Lisa Bergner, Candace Koirth ARNP.
