- Pratt Firefighters spray burned grass at a lawn fire at 317 North New Monday afternoon. Fire Chief David Kramer said there was no obvious cause for the fire. Schyler Mathies was home alone and decided to take his dog for a walk, went out the back door and found the lawn on fire. He tried to put the fire out but it spread across the lawn to the neighbor. Mathies said he was so nervous he couldn't punch the numbers on his phone for help so he got a passing motorist to call for him. He notified the neighbor. Grass was burned and a lawn chair. Neither house was damaged.
