- Too hot fire box
- A firebox at the rural Don and Carol Blankenship residence got too hot Jan. 30 and set the top and side wooden covering of the firebox on fire. Some exterior paneling on the house also burned but the fire was contained to the outside of the house around the firebox. Firefighters from Preston and Township 12 helped put out the smoky fire.
