At the Goddard Invitational on Thursday, held at the scenic and challenging Lake Afton course, the PHS boys cross country squad placed 3rd out of about 15 schools and Pratt's girls finished 1-2 in the JV race.

With the daunting Lake Afton dam dominating the venue, the course winds through a variety of terrain and topography, making it one of the more challenging but interesting trails on the PHS schedule. Also, the wind and near triple-digit temps added to the degree of difficulty.

The Frogs were paced by a pair of top ten finishes: 9 Nate Kolm 19:05 and 10 Raul Orosco 19:06.

Sergio Adame was 23rd 20:24. Also scoring for PHS were 37 Riley Decker 21:11 and 39 Elijah Gatlin 21:17.

Pratt's displacers were 46 Cody James 21:38 and 56 Will Mass 22:25.

Team scoring was dominated by Circle with a phenomenal 18 pts. Runners-up were Campus 103. Pratt was 3rd with 115.

In girls action, the Lady Greenbacks again were entered in the JV race. Sian Helfrich took the gold 25:09 and running mate Shawndra Bare snagged the silver 25:27. Also running was Amee Hidalgo 99th 40:15.
