PHS volleyball lost 2-0 to Kingman on Tuesday.

Pratt High head volleyball coach Summer Younie knew a couple of weeks ago that her team was heading into a difficult stretch of games. A series of tough opponents coupled with some key members of the rotation continuing to be sidelined has now extended Lady Green's losing streak to 3 following their loss on the road to Kingman on Tuesday.

The 33-1 and #1 ranked Eagles prevailed in a dual over the visiting Greenbacks in straight sets. PHS hung with the powerful Eagles 22-25 in set one. Set two went to Kingman 16-25.

For Pratt, Kierson Maydew had 7 kills. Kyra Johnson had 4 and Rheagan Hoover added 3. Assists went to Allisan McGowan (11) and Kami Theis (6). Maydew also had 3 service aces.

Defensively, Maydew and Hoover each had a pair of blocks. Makenzie Baird did a lot of the work on the back line, pulling up 6 digs and 8 service receives. Abby Lloyd and Kyra Johnson each had 6 receives and Kieara Kaufman added 4.

The Frogs did rack up 22 service receive errors, which hurt their cause.

Pratt falls to 16-13 with the defeat. The season continues this weekend as PHS tries to get back on track at the Goddard Tournament which traditionally features a variety of high quality teams.
