There are big doin's at the football game Friday night at Pratt High School.
Senior Night for Pratt High fall sports will be this Friday night at 6:35 at Zerger Field. All fall seniors will be recognized except volleyball. The volleyball senior night will be next Tuesday prior to the 8:00 p.m. game in the PHS Gym.
The "All-Victorious" 1967 football team and Coach Jim Lewis will be honored in a reception in the PHS Commons prior to the game with Hugoton from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Please stop by and honor them.
At halftime, the historic "Little Brown Jug" will be re-presented to them at the 50 yard line. This will be 50 years to the day since it was first presented after their 24-20 victory over a Dodge City team that was on a 19-game winning streak. This was the trophy won each year by the winner of the Pratt-Dodge City rivalry.
This is also our PINK OUT Football game. All Pink Out T-shirt proceeds are going to the Pratt Health Foundation towards the purchase of a 3D Mammography system for the PRMC. Thank you to our Cheerleaders and Coach Susan Pixler for championing this cause. The Cheerleaders will be busy as future Greenback cheerleaders from grades K-4 will be performing with our squad during the game.
Most importantly, the undefeated Pratt Greenbacks will be battling the Hugoton Eagles in the first District game at 7:00 p.m. Our team and coaches need the stands packed with GREEN! See you Friday night!
After the game, the Pride of South Central Kansas, the Pratt Marching Band will perform their fall marching show.
The Band attended the Southwest Marching Festival this week and earned 1 ratings and also was named "Best in Class" The PHS Percussion section also earned a 1 rating. Congratulations to Jeff Poort and Brandon Wade.
The weather forecast for Friday night is excellent, we hope to see you at Zerger Field.
