Skyline's defeated Kinsley Tuesday night; SHS girls lost

Following up last week's 3-game sweep at the T-Bird Classic, the Skyline boys basketball team continued on its roll Tuesday with a solid 52-33 victory over visiting Kinsley.

The Coyotes may have thought they were seeing double early on as twins Steve Fisher and Sam Fisher each had 5 points to help stake the Thunderbirds to a 14-8 advantage after one stanza.

Tyler Tobin racked up 8 in Q2 as SHS extended their lead to 32-20 at the break.

Following intermission it was more of the same as Cooper Gates and Steve Fisher each popped in 5 allowing SHS to take complete control of the game- 46-24 heading to Q4.

T-Bird reserves got some playing time down the stretch, and when time expired, Skyline was still on top of Kinsley 52-43.

Kinsley   8 12 4 9 33

In the girls game, Skyline had a decent night offensively, but were unable to keep the Lady Coyotes off the scoreboard and Kinsley took the victory 53-43.

It was a fairly evenly matched contest, Kinsley getting slightly the better of three quarters and Skyline cutting into the deficit slightly in Q4, but not enough to frighten the Coyotes.

Gracie Bricker and Kayley Cook each poured through 15 points to pace the Lady T-Birds.
