The Pratt High golf team took 7th out of 8 schools at Russell on Thursday

It's been a two-steps-forward, one-step-back kind of season for the Pratt High golf team.

Alas, their meet last Thursday at Russell was one of the latter as the Frogs took 7th place out of 8 teams with a 409 team score.

"Unfortunately we took a step backwards at Russell," said Steve Landry, PHS head golf coach. "Again we were not able to stay away from large numbers on some of the holes."

PHS results:

Ethan Wilson - 97

Casey Hoeme - 102

David Mathes - 103

Beau Meyers - 107

Will Mass - 110

Kael Bridges - 123

"Ethan Wilson had his best round of the year," Coach Landry observed. "We hope to get some things ironed out in practice and be ready for a better showing at Halstead."

The Greenback linksters will tee it up at Halstead's Wedgewood (not to be confused with Bushwood) on Tuesday. Next Monday they will host their Home Invitational.
