Hitting over half their free throws, the Pratt High School girls JV and C team basketball squads both picked up wins Friday night in Scott City.
Pratt JV 34, Scott City 14
In the JV contest, Pratt raced to a 9-2 lead after one quarter and pushed it to 22-6 at halftime behind 14 first-half points from Samantha Snell.
Scott City shaved a couple points off that lead in the third quarter, but Pratt put the finishing touches on the win by outscoring their hosts 9-3 in the final period.
Snell led all scorers with 16 points.
Grace Fellhoelter added eight and Taylor Ibarra finished with four.
Andi Gripe and Martha Ramos each had two while Whitney Amaro and Whitney Tilley scored one each for the Lady Greenbacks.
Pratt hit seven of 12 free throws in the game, including three of four in the first half.
No Scott City player scored more than four points.

The Lady Greenbacks trailed 8-4 after one quarter, but rallied to tie the score at 11 going into the half.
Four Pratt freshmen took over the third quarter, as Martha Ramos scored four points in the frame, Andi Gripe and Connor Reh each hit three-pointers, and Stormmy Flemming had a bucket to help the Lady Greenbacks pull ahead 23-17 heading into the fourth quarter.
Pratt held off Scott City’s rally attempts in the final minutes, hitting six of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter.
Reh led PHS with eight points while Flemming had seven.
Elizabeth Ash and Gripe each finished with six while Anecia Violetti scored five.
Ramos chipped in four points and Tilley had two as all seven Pratt players scored.
Scott City got 13 points each from Shanaya Hoeme and Janessa Lowenthal.
