The Lady Greenbacks improved to 6-11 on the season and 3-3 in MSAA games.
Pratt will host Larned tomorrow night for Senior Night, and the Lady Greenbacks will be looking for the season sweep of the Lady Indians. The varsity girls game will tip off at 6:15 p.m. at PHS.
Pratt is fighting for the best seed possible in the Class 4A Sub-State Tournament that begins March 1 in Kingman.
Currently, the Lady Greenbacks are sixth, but two wins this week and some help from other teams could move Pratt up to the fifth seed and set up a trip to Ulysses (9-8) in the first round. The Lady Greenbacks already own a win over Ulysses, and they will host the Lady Tigers Friday night in the regular season finale.

The Greenbacks finished 4-0 in MSAA road games thanks to another strong defensive performance against a much-improved Scott City team.
Pratt led 39-36 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Greenbacks outscored Scott City 28-15 in the final eight minutes to secure the win going away.
“I was proud of our defense tonight,” PHS coach David Swank said. “It was a team effort. Our guys stepped up and gave Scott City very few good looks at the basket.”
Matt Swank hit five three-pointers on his way to a game-high 24 points.
Matt’s floor game tonight was excellent.  He did a nice job of distributing the basketball after Micah fouled out with over three minutes to go in the game.   He had several nice assists during this time.
Pratt also got 15 points from Skylar Angood, 12 from Micah Swank and ten from Brady Batman.
“Skylar came back from early foul trouble, kept his composure and responded with some excellent finishes at the rim,” Swank said.
Swank was also particularly pleased with two other seniors.
“Brad Richardson is a very gutsy young man.  He came back after getting popped very hard in the nose,” Swank said. “Brady Batman finished plays at the rim and came up with eight big fourth quarter points.”
Overall, Swank was pleased with his team’s effort in winning a second road game in a three day span.
“We responded well tonight to adversity – foul trouble with Skylar and Micah, Brad’s injury, and playing on the road against a good team,” Swank said. “It was fun to enjoy the moment on our last trip to Scott City as a part of the Mid-State Activity Association.”
The Greenbacks, 16-2 on the season and a win or two away from securing the top seed in the Class 4A Sub-State Tournament, will host Larned Tuesday night for Senior Night.
“This is a great opportunity to honor our six seniors and their efforts this year,” Swank said. “We have had wonderful crowds all year and I hope to see another one Tuesday night.”
