Pratt High sophomore Cesar Regalado won his first championship as a high school wrestler Saturday at Clearwater.

“Cesar is a force to be reckoned with and will be ready to get on the medal stand when State rolls around,” Coach Tate Thompson predicted.

Other Pratt High placers:

Adam Swinford – 3rd

Austin Gates – 4th

Brendan Pribil – 5th

Andrew Bartel – 5th

The team placed eighth of 13 teams, with 85.5 points. Mulvane won the tournament with 170.5 points.

On Saturday the team will compete in the always-difficult Gerald Sadowski Invitational, a 17-team school event in Holton.

A more complete story of the Clearwater Tournament will be found in Thursday’s print edition and online at a later time.
