Tuesday night, the Pratt High School junior varsity girls basketball team lost at home to Medicine Lodge, 44-31.
The Lady Greenbacks stayed close early, trailing 10-7 after one quarter.
Medicine Lodge went on an 11-5 run over the course of the second quarter to take a 21-12 halftime lead.
That would be enough cushion for the Lady Indians, even though Pratt’s offense caught another gear in the second half.
The Lady Greenbacks scored 19 of their 31 in the second half, but could not overcome the early deficit even as they outscored Medicine Lodge 7-6 in the third quarter.
Avery Neumann led Pratt with seven points and Whitney Amaro added six.
Aubrey Hoover scored five, while Hannah Page and Emily Ruckle each had four.
Jordi Garrett chipped in with three and Samantha Snell two.
PHS (0-5) will be back in action Friday night at Scott City.
