The Pratt Community College basketball teams dropped a pair of tough games as the women were outscored 70-57 and the men lost another heart-breaker 58-55.

The 11th ranked Seward Lady Saints were able to lead most of the game as the Lady Beavers were down by seven at half 33-26.  Turnovers hampered the Lady Beavers all night, as they  committed 34 during the game, and the Lady Saints were able to pull away late in the game for a 13-point win.

Ann Pauly  played the entire 40 minutes, scoring 20 points on the night including making four of seven 3-point shots.  Whitney Bates was the only other Lady Beaver in double digits, with 14 points.

The Pratt Beavers faced the 15th ranked Saints and after falling behind 18-4 early in the game  ripped off 23 straight points and led at halftime 33-24.  Pratt was ahead until very late in the game when the Saints  finally took the lead. Bryton Hobbs had a chance to tie the game with a 3-point shot at the buzzer that went halfway in before falling away.

Hobbs  had a game high 22 points and was the only Pratt player in double figures.  Aaron Abram pulled down 11 rebounds and Josh May had nine.

Wednesday the Dodge City Conquistadors come to Dennis Lesh Sports Arena.  The Lady Conqs are 0-11 in KJCCC play and 8-17 overall as they are coming off a 60-56 loss to Colby.  The Dodge men are 4-7 in Jayhawk West play and 16-9 overall and they beat Colby on Saturday 69-66.
